United States Military Dog Training

United States Military Dogs – Working Dogs | The United States Military has used working dogs during every major conflict that they have been in. Military dogs are trained to attack the enemy, protect the troops, and they are trained in weapon, bomb, gas and drug detection. The military uses complex training techniques for these working dogs that are specifically designed to awaken the dogs natural traits of aggression and focus to their advantage. For the detection of weapons, gases, drugs and bombs, both the German Shepherds and Labradors are better than most military detection hardware. Over 80 percent of the military dogs are purchased from Germany and the Netherlands.
The Navy Seals use smaller breed of working dogs similar to that of the German Shepherd called a Belgian Malinois. The Belgian Malinois being smaller, makes them ideal for parachuting and repelling missions. Their sense of smell is 40 times greater than us humans and these dogs are incredibly quick and agile.
In this United States Military Dog Training video you will see how incredible these canines are what it takes for them to make it into the United States military.
